WHAT
This course provides key technological updates in the area of lighting controls. Specifically, this course will discuss the changes in lighting controls technology resulting from luminaires becoming more electronic than electrical. We will discuss the analog technologies used for dimming luminaires, including Phase Control, 3-wire, PMW, and 0-10V. We will also discuss digital lighting control technologies including DMX and DALI. The course will help the student to understand key differences in these technologies and to better understand when each type of control is appropriate.
